These girls were participating in a 1900 era festival at a local museum park. They donned the period clothing and played the games, and seemed to have a great time. It sure is nice to see kids enjoying themselves without video games.
These shots were taken with my 20D & Sigma 70-200. The first one was fill-flashed.

Good stuff. Are they drinking real beer or root? :)

Ok. I will admit, when I saw the title I fully expected to scantilly clad over-bosomed women in under-bosomed clothing. How very nicely surprised I was. You sir, are a closet romantic!
Oh, and really nice shots by the way!

For fun try converting them to black and white or sepia.
Good comps.

Whoa, do people still wear clothes like that and play those old-fashioned games? It looks like a step back in time, and a very welcome change from the usual sight of kids playing videogames and the like. I agree with previous posts that these pictures would look very nice in sepia. Nice job.

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. It was a perfect day for taking pictures. Just a thin layer of clouds to kill the harsh contrast from the sun but not make everything look dull.
Anyone who wants to see these in Sepia is welcome to convert them and repost. I'm just not a sepia kinda guy.
The museum park where these girls were playing hosted many events on the 1900 theme last weekend, including Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show with Annie Oakley. Some shots from that are in this thread (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=184625).
