Hello everyone. I'm new here with my second hand D60, so please forgive me if this has been covered (I did search though).

I may be hired to shoot portraits for a local law firm for the holidays. My goal is to shoot tethered and straight to the printer I plan to purchase (probably a couple of i9000 - one as backup). Can I have some suggested setups for this?

Other options are welcome too, but I prefer not to use compact flash cards inserted into the printer type situation. My hope is to shoot and have the file transfered to a folder on the computer. That folder will automatically be qued to print any files and move them to another printed shot folder.

Thanks,
Cordell

I have shot tethered to a laptop using canons remote capture software, and then printing with ps7. I keep both programs running and toggle back and forth. I would not recommend automating the printing, as its doubtful that you will want to print every shot. Also, you will want to crop to a standard print size ratio(5x7, 8x10) and maybe write an action to sharpen and resize the image before printing. Once you have perfected your workflow, you will be able to move along fairly quickly.
good luck!

Thanks Murf, you are absolutely right. For some reason I completely forgot about the croping, sharpening, etc.

My workflow is pretty decent right now with C1. I just did not even consider the crop factor. I guess I'll have to create an action to take care of what I need.

Thanks again,
