Time for a G5 forum

Ok the G5 has been out for a few months now. When will a G5 topic specific board appear?

Just an opinion---
All the G cameras (1,2,3&5) should be on one board just as all EOS SLR's are.

Admittedly there are differences between them, but they're not earth-shaking. Certainly they have more in common with each other than the 1Ds has with the Rebel D, both of which are covered by a single board.

I always thought that myself. I never understood why the G series digicams had a separate forum for each model - There are more similarities than differences I'm sure.

Having just transferred from the G-series forums, I too believe that all the G-series should be incorporated into one forum. After all, the EOS-Digital cameras are all here on this one aren't they?

Don't agree with the above comments. Let's keep this a forum for serious photographers, and have no concern for the point-&-shoot fadists. Keep the G-series out of this, otherwise we'll be inundated ; soon, there will be a G6, then a G7, then a G8. And then we'll have no room left for the discerning photographers. Bad money forces out good money from circulation. Same here. If we let in the amateur point-&-shootists, they will take over the forum. We can't give an inch.

When you write satire, you should label it as such (or at least include a smiley). Otherwise people will think you're serious.

Based on other posts I've read of his I think he IS serious (even though what he said in this post was irrelavent to the topic at hand). :(

Nah, he can't be serious. Do you really think he means to call me a 'fadist' (sic) if I take a picture with my G2 instead of my 10D? Certainly he wouldn't resort to name-calling, especially to a presumed fellow elitist.
