this little guy was obviously pretty hungry :)

all taken with a Sigma 105 with extension tubes (had all 65mm on but the lens was set at varying magnifications in each shot) all 1/200 ISO 100 f/10.. with diffused ringflash for lighting...

Lovely series- looks like a pregnant Melanostoma scalare (one of the few hovers I can identify because of the green halteres).
