IXUS400 Display problem???

Has anybody noticed two black vertical shadowy bars running up the middle of the rear display. Have tried adjusting display brightness but makes no difference.It's only really noticeable when taking photos that have a light background but does give the effect of darkening the centre of the displayed image. Photos turn out ok though. Am about to return to Canon unless anyone can give me some advice/assistance.Many Thanks

It has happened to me once only. I put it down to low battery problem because shortly after it ran out of power and had to substitute it with a charged one I had brought along. Apart from that instance, it never happend again.
