Here's a shot I took this past weekend of a neighbor's 9 year old niece.

the pose is very relaxed and therefore pleasing to the eye. but in re to the eyes of the subject, i feel that the way the shadow falls on the left eye/cheek (right side of photo) is too much of a contrast in respect to the brightness of the right eye/side of face.

Well this is a beautiful girl.
Some of the shots seem a bit too posed, an perhaps a bit formal for the "apparent" age of this your lady.
That said, my choices would be 8945, 8958, and 9002.

My favorite one is the one you posted here--I like the way the shadow follows the bridge of her nose. Very flattering photo--she does look mature for her age--but maybe that's her manner, also.
