Hi again,

I have for you a package of all files (from EE 1. 5 full installer, without db updater which is coming soon) so that it is easier for you and me to ensure that you indeed have the latest versions of all files. So, upload and replace ALL files, except configuration files. I have placed foo.txt file into all empty folders to fool some ftp programs which do not send empty folders.

All reported small bugs are fixed, also non-western languages should work ok (for skjun), now, there is new info text in graphicsengine test page next to path to display if saved path is ok or not, there is new editor "EE powertools" which it currently a photo data batch editor (VERY powerful, so backup backup backup), more powertools wil come later. - there is also file ordering dropdown in upload page (it remembers the setting).

To make things clearer we should call this beta 4 (I'll provide version number changer tomorrow)

http://photography-on-the.net/EE15_beta_4_all_files.zip

Backup up your add/connect.php (EE) and /input/backup/ee_backup_prefs/preferences.php (EE Backup), or just don't upload over the old ones.

Doublecheck CHMOD 777 as usual:

/export
/temp
/ftp_temp
/input/temp
/input/UPLOAD
/input/UPLOAD/ee_temp_upload

Can all files be dropped on site, or are there files that need to be config'd before dropping. If so, which are in need of config.

I am currently running 1.5 B3 fix 1-4

btw, Pekka, I used to use username KD6LOR, but I couldn't log on or retreive my password, so I started melor, which is my website URL. - PJ

Have new update files installed. Reminder to those who follow that header.php in /lang/eng folder. Had a heck of a time finding link to brass website to remove from my site.

Using Canon D60, CRW conversion with PS7, when doing an upload, the little 'X" that appears on the test.jpg file is missing. The EXIF is there, but the test for EXIF is not working on my files. The EXIF "x" is there for the source.jpg. I can provide the JPG that doesn't work for testing.

Secondly, I have had no luck with the PT viewer. An example of my fortune to be seen at: http://www.melor.com/gallery/photo.php?photo=1001&lang=eng

p.s. found thread regarding pano viewing. Interestingly enough, the viewer plays on my wife's computer, but not mine. Viewing on her computer, I discovered that it is a 360 degree viewer and not good for my photos which are usually stitched but not 360.

Please note that you must save with "Save As.." and not "Save for web.." in PS7 to preserve EXIF.
EE's source.jpg is converted in C1 and saved in PS7 as JPEG.

I've noticed PHP's EXIF reader does not work with Capture 1 files, saving them in PS will kick them alive again.

Seems to work fine from here.
If you find any other panorama viewer applet it can be easily added to EE as viewerstyle. Let me know if you come across any good ones.

As soon as EE 1.5 is in "gold" I'll start working to change this forum software to something more functional and modern one.

RE EXIF:

I do "save as" in PS7, not save for web. The "x" does not appear, but the date, time, shutter speed ( sometimes ) and aperture do show up.

Is a puzzler, have tested with images converted with Adobe's RAW conversion routine. I will need to test with jpg out of camera as well as conversions done with BB.

the pano works on 2 out of 3 of my computers in the house tested. It must be a security or browser setting, but I can't seem to find it. Since the pano's are 360, I won't be likely to use it anyway.

I suspect thats becuse you don't have any photos to edit When you upload some photos it is no longer "grayed out"

Yes. It is greyed out if current exhibition does not have any photos to edit. In that case use photo browser to change exhibition and find some photos there.
