I love these forums & while I've not been 100% Canon, I've done my share (D30). But, I bit the bullet & got a Konica Minolta 7D today. Most of my earlier pics have been from a Minolta 7i or an A1. I love shooting, (but I'm a traitor to the brand), so I guess my question is should I keep posting here or not?

Absolutely. The gear sections won't be of much help, probably, but we'd love to see your shots. You've shown some great work. Keep it coming!

Of course you should keep posting! I believe this is first and foremost a photography site, with heavy bias towards Canon, but no restrictions.
Plus, it would be nice to see how well the pics turn out on the Minolta. Say, didn't they just stop making digital cameras? I thought I read somewhere that they got out of the camera business...

Yes, stay. Photograpers first, Canon users second I say.

Stick around.

Intrigued why you bought an 'obsolete' camera right now?
I would've held fire until it's rebadged as a Sony Alpha, when I'd expect any remaindered Minoltas to be knocked out cheap.

Yes, please stay
It is always interesting to see pictures taken with other equipment.

Thanks for the replies & yes, they sold their camera business to Sony. The 7D came out at $1400.00 & you can now find them for $800.00 (liquidating their stock). Do I really want to spend about that same amount for a Sony Alpha (basically a rebadged KM 5D, no PC Synch, ability to use a portrait grip, etc). I tested the 7D when they 1'st hit the shelves, they are excellent tools.

I for one would love to hear of your experiences with the camera now and then!Your past experience with canon will be particularly helpfull
To be honest i think that canon users are alot like americans -they have little idea what other countries are about or what they offer ;)
