Would anyone care to share a good source for ordering prints online?
I'd like to be able to send in (email) the highest quality digital file possible. Anyone know of labs that accept 16-bit tiffs?
Thanks!

I have tried www.ofoto.com and found them quite good. They also take good care to send you back the prints in vellum envelop. Now a day I just print them 8.5X11 size at home through my Canon S800 printer. It is much cheaper that way and with this magic printer, you can not tell even with a loup that it is a printout.
Canon S800 sells below 300$ now, and it is a amazing printer.

hi...
i can't say much good about ofoto myself (other than that they have a very fast turnaround) but my ofoto experience was very bad...contrasty, oversaturated pictures that looked nothing like what was on my screen...out of curiousity (and perhaps just being a bit more than anal retentive : ) i tried printroom.com, ofoto.com, dotphoto.com and shutterfly.com...
your results may vary...
but dotphoto blew them all out of the water in terms of receiving JUST what I shot...and not something that looked to have been color corrected or adjusted in any way...
dotphoto recently screwed up a big order pretty badly...(180 photos with a green martian tint) but they were very helpful (i.e. you could reach a friendly person on the phone) and actually were upset that it got by their quality control...they made good on it within 3 days...corrected the order and sent it right out...at 19 cents (us) a print (for 4x6) you can't go wrong...
it's hard to say if i got a bad day at ofoto or not...i'd be curious to see how others have been doing...although delighted with dotphoto...i'm always searching for better, faster, cheaper
as my lady says...pick any two : )
i'd still wonder if there was someplace that could take those 16 bit tiffs (for printing 8 x 10's) anybody know?

Posted the same thing in another part of this forum but just in case... how does the cost of print with a photo printer (including the printer like the S800) compare with using web sites?
