Models should / how can I start

I've rekindled my interest in photography after purchasing and using a G2. (previously had a string on film SLRsin c and EOs 600. I've always wanted to do some work with photographic models (tasteful stuff) but not really sure where to start and don't want to spend a fortune on fees and kit, also don't want to be seen as a dirty old man - any ideas

I'm doing a course about portrait and model photography. It's fun and we learn a lot about studio lighting, working with the models etc. Maybe a course would be a good idea for you?
