So...I've been poking around/commenting/contributing on this forum for well over a year. My photography skills have significanlty increased because of it. many thanks to all the regulars here for advice, wisdom and some good plain fun.
I feel like a big league hitter who just slapped a 0-2 fastball into left center field for my 1,000th hit. Can I keep first base?
On to 2,000....

I'll say well done - but I've no idea what any of that means! :)

When pro baseball players reach milestones they usually keep one of the bases for some reason.

Really? Well, maybe I'm a huge baseball fan and useless knowledge like that is rattling around in my head like a loose piece of plastic in a kids toy. Baseball players do the darnest things, especially when they get thrown out of games - kick dirt on home plate, throw water buckets onto the field, etc. When they do something extraordinary, there's always some sort of "token" they take or keep...most of the time, it ends up in the hall of fame in Cooperstown, NY.
