ACR-Roger help

I did the hex editor fix to get my s50 to work with ACR. But now my raw files from my Nikon camera (nef) do not open the ACR screen. Any suggestions (yes I did keep the original plug in file and I suppose I could pull out the 'new' hacked one when I want to use the Nikon), but can you think of a more convient method?

Roy,

Not having either a Nikon (shame on you :) ) or an S50, I cannot test what might be happening. With two copies of the plug-in, my system opens both 10D and D60 files, so it's a mystery why NEF files should even get involved.

I would check to see whether NEF files are opened OK when the edited plug-in file is moved. If that does work, I would create a new edited copy for S50, just in case something went screwy with the first edit.

I'd also try using File>Open and then selection Camera raw from the "Files of type" dropdown list.
