I broke into the 30,000 range on my camera today. That's a lot of pictures.
How many do you guys got?
What is this shutter rated for again? :P

...not much more than that, unfortunately. :-(
I'm only up to about 1,350 on my 30D, and my other 20D is probably gonna die soon. Gotta be around 75-80k or so.

I just went over 21,000 photos this weekend. I think it is time to start saving for a new camera.

Cool stuff, between Feb 2005 and Dec 2005 my 20D had 64,500 shots and then the shutter went PINGGG...
Have slowed down a lot since, but the count I have no idea upon. I would guess another 15-20,000 since Jan to now... So 80,000 or so...
There's a reason for wanting the next 1D model.

How do you know how many shots you've taken? Haven't managed to figure out the numbering on my 300d.

The last 4 digits are the image number but depending on how You set Your 300D it may reset when You change CF card/format the card.
I have my 20D set to continuous numbering. If You have set it to start over the only way You can know the count would be to actually count the number of files You have.

I have continous numbering. What are the first three numbers? My last photo says 217-1702.

15000 shots across all of my DSLRs combined since I started a year ago. Probably going to add another 10-15K this year. :)

137 on my 30D. I have had it for about a month, but it was at Canon getting a new lens mount ring for about 12 days.

It is folder number and the last 2 digits are the same as the first 2 in the last number ( I have understood this part).
The first digit is as far as I can see a multiple of 10.000 (-1). 1 = 0000-9999, 2=10000-19999 and so on. So You should be aroung 11702 photos in total, is that about right?
The last number on my 20D is 207-0779 and I know I just turned 10.000 a couple weeks ago.

Tommy,
Hm, that should be about right. I am pretty sure I've taken at least 10,000 shots. Damn. That's a lot!
