I think I will upgrade my next SLR to the 5D as I am so desprate to work at full frame. I currently use a Canon 20D as my main camera and I do enjoy to shoot infra red (even though the 20 is poop for it it) I wondered if the 5D made a better or worse job..

Its not a major thing for it to support Infra Red alot better than the 20D. I just wondered as its a style I enjoy.

Also could any just drop me a few posts on how happy users are from the 5D as an upgrade from something like a 20?

Thank you.

best thing is just to get a camera converted to infra-red instead of using filters. if you are seriously interested in it, get a cheap 10d, send it to lifepixel for IR conversion, and save those 2k bucks for a bit later, or just convert your 20d when you get the 5d and spend only a few hundred extra

I know about life pixel but I was just interested in normal IR for the moment. I did intend to one day send the 20D for that purpose. The 5D is an upgrade for other reasons
