there looks to be a soft focus action applied to the photo which may explain the lack of sharpness in the eyes.

Very interesting photo. The only thing I don't like is that the background is too bright. The lighting keeps pulling my eyes off of the subject to examine the graffiti and the wall. I think if the back wall were a little more subued the picture would be better. To me.

Zangarth,, although the eyes don't look to soft to me,. you can do a trick with Photoshop's "history brush"

It is one of my most often used tools. You can apply a color change or filter to an entire image,. and then go back and pint over parts with the "history brush" to revert only those parts you paint back to whatever stage you want. Very handy.

Very nice. The photograph is well done. At first I thought the graphiti was a distraction, but no, it adds a lot to the ambiance of the photo. The eyes are great!
