Connecting G1 with Monolights

I am trying to connect my monolights to my Canon G1, however I found out that the monolights trigger v is 11.00 v and I think this is not safe to use on the Canon G1. I am just wondering if there are any members on this forum who is under the same dilemna.

I use my Pro90 with a studio strobe system by Norman. You have to purchase a hot shoe converter which also reduces the voltage sent through the camera. I am using the Wein Safe Synch, you can get it thorough B&H.

Their part number at wein is Cat. No. 990-550, Wein stuff is distributed by Tiffen though.
