The day was hot, humid, raining with thunderstorms, but hey this is Southern California not Kansas or Florida. http://www.pbase.com/dancinec/image/62651194.jpgI couldn't believe my eyes, amongst the Great Blue and Great and Snowy Egrets was a Little Blue Heron. So I sat down on a rock and fired away.

..and I thought Southern California was always suny. :D
This is a great series of the Little blue Heron Dennis. Looks a handsome bird, nice clear shots of the bird.

I love the last one, the colors seem to stand out more than the other two. All of them are great photos though!

All very nice in this series Dennis. The second one looks like he is making faces in the mirror:D Nice detail in all 3 images .

I did not realize these herons were anywhere in North America other than Florida or close to Florida.

Wow...excellent shots. It's hard to choose a favorite here but I think the last one would be my pick if I had to choose one. Brilliant work. :-)

Love these shots. I have tried a few shots of my own here and don't like what I see. Yours are great! Nice detail and clarity. I'll keep trying and trying...Well done Dennis.

Good shot Dennis on the latest shot, the lighting looks much better and the detail is picked up very well.
