Can anyone give me some tips/pointers on taking pictures of lights?
X-mas is coming up and I wanna take some pictures of houses that are lighted for the occasion and whenever I tried in the past the bulbs are blurry...Is there a certain setting my camera should be on?
thanks in advance...

Do you use a tripod? you will get the best results when your camera is free of movement, also put the delay shutter on so that you don't get shake from depressing the shutter.

No I actually never used a tripod for taking these pictures in the past..But I recently picked one up so I can try that..I'll also try the shutter thing as well...

I would also recomend adjusting your aperture settings by using AV mode on the camera, or even go full manual mode setting your shutter/aperture and exposure compensation, or you could use the AEB mode on the camera and that still didn't give you what you want exactly you could do some tricks in your photo program afterwards by merging layers etc.
