You'd be surprised though, PS has some very clever tools for automatically removing unwanted things in photos.

I think that content aware might make it look unnatural, and cloning or healing would take awhile.

If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear em. Always like to learn more for sure!

It was the content aware fill I was thinking would work. Can't hurt to try, but probably more fun to just go take the photo again as it looks lovely where that photo was taken.

Yeah, I'll give it a shot. I just think some branches won't line up.

I will definitely head back out to shoot it again. I've been concentrated on learning photoshop too much and have gotten super lazy about taking the actual photographs.

I'm the opposite, I've been focussing lots on leanring all the features of my camera and kind of neglected the PP. Don't have time at the moment for both! :(

Or you do it the cheap way: using a set of close-up "filters", which are actually lenses that stack onto the nifty's front thread. I've got a set of tubes but with those I need to use a tripod; with the close-up filters I can shoot hand-held.

The Raynox DCR-250 is a good addon for the nifty too. not sure if £40 is classed as cheap though when the lens is only £70.

Nori your photos are really beautiful. I enjoyed those moments as well as shooting your way. It's really lovely. But do not know if shooting in low light or not, led to the relatively small aperture you to make sense out sharp images. Try using an off-flash. Wish you have many beautiful pictures and photos up regularly

IMO it's cheap because it also fits on other glass. all my macro shots are done on either my nifty 50 or my 70-200 f/4

the raynox dcr250 is adjustable. i use it on the nifty which is about 52mm all the way up to the 70-200 i mentioned which is 67mm

beautiful shot. The costume you wear for your baby make the image more alive. Maybe you already know, but I want to remind you not to beat direct flash when taking pictures for the kids, it's very harmful for baby's eyes.Instead, You can use the softbox or bounce flash. Sorry if you already know this:)

I have a question. I got my nifty this weekend and I took some pics in my apt room. I had dual tube lights in the room and I was shooting in Aperture (Av) mode. Though the pics came out good but they were very soft at the outer corners. I was shooting at f1.8 to f.2.4, 1/250, ISO 100. Anything wrong that I am doing here?
