Hi,

I'm thinking about maybe getting a 35mm f/2 lens. I'm wondering if anyone here is using or has used this lens with their D30. In particular, I'd be interested to know how you find the lens compared to the 50mm f/1.8. How sharp is the 35mm wide open? Any problems with lens flare? How is focussing speed? And most importantly, how do you find the optical quality of this lens?

If you have any sample images shot with this lens or comparison shots done with the 35mm and 50mm lenses, I'd love to have a gander.

Thanks for any feedback!

I just got that 35 f/2 lens and love it, the focusing speed is great and the background blur that is possible is unbelievable. The only problem I've had is the focusing in the dark with it, but all D30's seem to have this problem with any lens.I will try to get some pics up for you soon

This is a picture of a friends carr I took with my 35 f/2. It was about 2am and the only light we had was a street light, so there is a little noise.

Hi,

Thanks for your comments and posting the pic! What settings did you use for this shot? Do you have any other shots you could show for comparison? ;)

Thanks so much!
