I saw the photo and I really wondered how the photo was collected. Last night I had to give it a try. It was dark. This is what I was able to collect.
The photo I am attempting to copy was entered in a contest on POTN.
Does that make me a copycat? Or an experimenter?

I don't know if you are a copycat or not, but I like this shot.

I like it because I still can't figure out exactly what it is. It looks like ropes going up to the top of a bell tower or cables on a suspension bridge. I just can't tell.

Experimenter... however, I haven't seen the photo you are practicing. do you have a link?

The photo I am attempting to 'mimic' is located at:

Linear Prespective Entry #18, Golden Gate Bridge. I'm not sure. But, I think it was the winner..

love the abstractness of it. though I would like to see a bit mroe detail.

remeber imitating is a start...soon enough these new ideas will come to mind without thinking!

Even though yours is very very similar, its a place to start learning. What band has not done a cover tune to learn their instruments? Like Livinthalife said, new ideas come with this kind of practice. I love your take on the PP... I would like to see just a little more detail, but I like what you did to it.

transport, i think the photo would obviously work better during the day but it is a neat shot even at dark. I like how the suspension cables just fade into nothingness. Too bad the flash is too intense in the foreground.
