erected by the Congregational Society in 1845. A museum on the ground floor contains 19th-century farm tools, domestic paraphernalia, town memorabilia, photographs, manuscript materials, and school records.

that's a lovely place to house all those things Sandy
the 19th century farm tools must be so interesting to see
especially for modern young farmers

you took a beautiful shot of the building
nice sky too. love the shadows

Thanks Marie, it is a lovely spot, when you get on the grounds you can see all the way to the Mountain range in New Hampshire. The main road you see is still a dirt road. I have a few more I took up there that I will post here or on there own thread.

Thanks. One of the advantages of the afternoon sun casting nice shadows, as long as you're not trying to shoot into it.

Love the second one.

Thanks; I really like this one also. I think what I like about it is that it appears as if time stood still, if someone had a camera in 1845 and taken a photo it wouldn't look any different. :D

Thanks Damian. Good question on why the don't build them like this anymore. Simple and useful nothing fancy, but have stood the test of time. :D

If they were to build that today it would be some glass abomination.

Thanks Marie, it is beautiful up there, and what I like most, it has never changed, other than the car replaced the horse. :D :D
