Ok... I'm ready to buy a second body. Oh and before anyone sends me a "My camera is for sale" message, I'm buying new. No offense, but I'd rather go that route... anyway..
Part of why I want a second body is well... I need one if I'm going to do this for money... (i.e. weddings) I currently back myself up with a film body, and I've been fortunate not to have needed it thus far, but I'd like to not only back myself up with another digital body, but I would like it that I could actually use both bodies concurrently. I'd put the 28-105 on one and the 70-200 on the other and that would cover me and then I'd only need to change lenses when I want to use one of my primes. This brings me to the new body. The easy decision would be to get a 30D since it's supposed to be better and more refined than the 20D, though not by much. I've already got to send the 20D in for an adjustment which will allow my grip to work properly with it, so with this front focus problem I'm hearing about regarding the 30D, I'm not to keen on going that route. I know the newer 20D bodies do not have the same issues with the grip that my older body does... I've tried it out on a friend's. So I'm actually thinking about going with a second 20D. I'm not doing it to save money. I just know what I'm going to get if I go that route. But I'd LOVE to find out for sure if the 30D focus issue is real or not. spot metering and 1/3 ISO increments would be really nice... not to mention the 2.5 inch screen.
Anyone with a 30D care to let me know exactly how well their camera's perform?
