Hi there
Never easy, as you never really know what you are going to get...
I've done a few... Jean-Michel Jarre in Londin Docklands and 14th July at Eiffel tower in Paris a few times..
I like to find a decent back drop monument... like the Eiffel tower... set the camera up on a tripod with a medium zoom, that frames you monument but leaves enough sky for you ro get some nice bursts....
then it's time exposures...I usually bracket from quarter to 2 seconds... depending on the number of bursts you want...usually wide open.
generally the best stuff is at the end of a display, so you need to be patient...
The nice thing obviously with digital is you can see if you are getting it right... in the days we shot film it was always a surprise...
You can of course make composite pictures in photoshop...
Regards
Gareth
