I love the repetition of the curley-q in the first one!!!

I wish the second showed more detail as the texture of that board/plank being snapped off like that is interesting.

The first one you can see an second bench arrpox 10 feet away, and again with the same 'curley-q'. I think I will go back and take the same shot again with a smaller aperture to get the second bench in more detail, but with the DOF still ensuring only the second 'q' is in sharp focus.

The second is the end of a tree trunk that has been cut down, and the splinters are from where the small remaining amout of the tree that hadn't been cut snapped as it was cut down. Again I'll take that shot with a smaller aperture to so more if the splintered area in focus.

I have taken the same shot of a lock on a moselum (sp?) at least 200 times and I still haven't captured what I see in my head. No, I haven't given up but I am really stumped at how to nail what I want...

I thought that it was part of the same bench, a few feet away.... I love the repetition just like it is but I would love to see the reshoot too :)

I found a tree here I would love to take some more shots of, if I could, that was struck my lightening about 15 feet over my head. The remains of the limb are charred and splintered, almost like it was twisted off. Really interesting but under no conditions will my feet leave the ground!
