Sigma has released a new tele zoom len 28-300mm (macro) in August. It is lighter and smaller than previous model (with 62mm filter and 460g):

Any actual experience of using it with Canon DSLR e.g. 10D or 300D?

Thanks!

I have the old 28-300 and it works well. doesnt seem to focus as fast as my cannon lense, but that might be due to the fact the cannons a smaller lense.

I cant complain about the quality though. for the price it works for me.

I found some sample photos using the new macro len but the wide open is soft:
