I recently bought the new SIGMA 24-135 f2.8-4.5... I need your comments on some results i.ve gotten with it... At the wide end (24mm) and at f2.8 the lens is incredibly soft, so that it is actually worthless to use it at f2.8... Is it to be expected for a lens of this category and price?

But the real problem is the ghosting at the tele end (135mm)... Please have a look here http://briefcase.pathfinder.gr/zoom/Parias11/12622/167858

and tell me what you make of the results and how bad do you think they really are for the given category??

That's too bad. I bought a Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 lens and it is very sharp. I also tried a Canon USM 100-300mm and it was very sharp at all focal lengths. I would try a different lens, maybe there is something wrong with that one...Dean
