Pekka's actions and non-D series

I tried linear sharpen on some G1 raw files, and found the last two curves applied too much of something! Took them out, and things look very good. I plan to work on these further, and perhaps adapt them to batch processing of files with consistent white balance. But I wondered, Pekka, if you or someone else has a curves adjustment just for G1/G2? And, why did they lighten so much? I was surprised at that much difference in what a D30 captures versus the G1.

Next time I order toys, I plan to get a Kodak color target and fool around to try and develop a robust set of curves for G1. Has anyone done this? Any hints on how these super actions could best be adapted to G1?
