Birthday we thought we wouldn't see

Here's a photo of my Nephew, Toby, on his 1st birthday. It's a birthday we dreaded we wouldn't celebrate - six months ago he came down with meningitis and was very close to the edge.

He has now fully recovered and is a healthy little fella. It brings tears of joy to see him laughing and smiling :D

This must have been so scary! I know when I had to rush my son to the ER on his first birthday (and it was "just" dehydration) I was scared to death.

Great picture. My nephew just turned 1 as well on the 1st of July. My daughter, 14 months, and him just love to play together. Glad to hear that all is well now.
