Went along to the moto gp yesterday. Was an absolutley awesome day and the weather was scorching, so much so i am incredibly sunburnt.
ended up taking about 600+ pics while i was there, and am still sorting through them.
Here is a pick or the incredible Valentino Rossi

this image is straight from the camera, no cropping or adjustment of anything.
will post some more images up later once i have been through them all.
comments and critique welcome

Hi Antc,
Good panning technique, good colour, good sharpness, good composition but it doesn't do a lot for me because of Rossi's upright position on the bike. It looks like he is on an out or in lap and not tucked down to get least resistence. It doesn't have much dynamics (see KennyG's comments about dynamics in this section).

Antc,
great shot technically, however it's lacking any real action. It looks like a novice on a trackday! In fact it might be me in Rossi's leathers!!

The weather was awefull and technically it may not be as good as your shot, I like to think it shows much more action, and is a more exciting image.
Thank heavens I upgraded to the 20D ! can't believe how much noise the 300D had at 400iso

I'm sure you have many other great shots, as you clearly have the technical ability, and reading this back it might sound a bit critical, considering how bad my example is. but I'm sure you get what I mean. (I'm not really jealous of you having the good weather this year !)
How long did it take you to get out of Donny? Even on the bike last year it took a rediculous amount of time.
