View Full Version : My new G3 is rattling??? <-- newb

Just picked up my G3 today and I have noticed that there's a rattling sound coming from inside when I tilt the camera or give it a shake. It sounds like loose screw on the inside. The only thing is that it's not 'bouncing' around anywere but rather isolated to one area. My guess is that could be the mechanism responisble for the 'Auto Rotate' feature. Whats your take on that?

It's the sensor for vertical/horizontal position.

Don't spend too much time trying to work out what it is. Give it back and demand a new one!

And the new one will also make that noise. It's the position (portrait/landscape) sensor.

Thats great news! Thanks for your help! It's just last time I bough my s30 and the screen filckered sometimes. I found out it was defective and exchanged it. I was thinking maybe my G3 was a lemon too.
