Im using a D60 and I would like to purchase a strobe system. I have heard that a normal sync cord could damage the camera. I have heard of the wein cord, or use Pocket wizards. Has anyone had this issue? If you can give me what is recommended that would be great.

Thanks

White lightnings will not harm your system. I've used them and checked with them.

Thanks for the input. Sorry about the Cubs! I was bummed. Do you use a Wein cable to connect your strobes?

I had an experience when I used my D30 with my Novotrons, burned out the flash sync (I believe), it's in for repair.
Not wanting to have the same thing happen to my 10D, I use a "Wein Hot Shoe to Hot Shoe Safe Sync" it maintain a safe 6V for the sync level.

Thats great advice! I use remote slave triggers, Quantum 4i's But I have pc cords for backup, and the wein safe synch. It's always better to be safe than sorry :)
