I posted this in another thread, and it worked within just a few days. Many forums, require that the original poster be the last to post in a thread, and state the solution to the problem, and then lock the topic.

If you ask a question in here, and you get an answer, please quote the answer, and post that "This solved my problem" or something to let future people who might search find the correct answer.

The reason being is that this forum gets a TON of threads. It's one of the most useful sources on the internet. People do however post information that is not correct in an honest attempt to help. If you post that a certain solution worked, this will help those who need the information in the future not have to try every solution.

Once this happens, more people will start to search, and active members can spend their time progressing into even further discussions on photography rather than the basics that keep getting brought up.

Good idea! Also, in addition to stating what solved the problem, maybe but it in bold and red?

That would be an excellent idea for those who have to search through 100's of pages to find an answer.

Hopefully a mod will sticky this, or make a board annoucement for every forum, as we (as a community) have been doing a poor job of these basic things.
