BreezeBrowser & Paint Shop Pro 8.01

I use BreezeBrowser to convert RAW files to TIFF and edit in PSP8.01. Is there any advantage in converting to 16 bit TIFF rather than 8 bit? After editing and then saving in PSP, they seem to end up as 8 bit regardless.

Hi Graham. I'm no expert, but if you're archiving your converted photos for possible future use, keeping them in 16 bit might be useful, as you never know what future versions of PSP will be capable of.
BTW, there's a new update for PSP on the Jasc web site, v. 8.10. Lots of improvements. And they're sending out new cd's with the complete 8.10 version at no charge to registered users, so make sure to register if you haven't done so yet.

Thanks for the tip. I don't think it will help my current problem but it sure looks like I should download the update just the same. Would you believe I only downloaded 8.01 a few days ago.
