No. FD lenses will not work on EOS bodies.
Wish they did, though.

Canon had to abandaon loyal followers of FD lenses in order to embrace a new technology and tap the new market.
I feel sorry for those old folks that invested thousands of dollars in the old technology, but the world is changing for the better.

In fact, FD to EF adapters were made and may still be made but they cause the lens and camera to be totally manual in all regards. Manual focus, manual exposure, I have only used mine on a 500mm catadioptric mirror lens with no diaphragm. I don't remember but I think I used it on a 50mm Macro Canon lens and it did stop the aperture down. This is only a foggy memory and I no longer have any FD lenses to try it on, only the 500mm cat lens which is actually a Pentax with an interchangeable FD adapter mount of its own.
I think you wouldn't like it if you could use it unless you're doing macro- or microphotography. They were cheap and I got mine from Adorama so take a look and see.

There are FD to EOS adapters,. However they cost as much as a new 50mm MkII (if not more)
They don't make any sense unless you have an investment in old FD lenses (and I mean investment,. like an 800mm :D )
