So I just ordered my Sigma 10-20 and my canon 70-200 f/4L and they arent even here yet and I am looking at my next 2 lenses.
Heres what I am looking at for my next 2, tell me when you think.
Selling the 75-300 and the kit lens
Getting the
Canon 85 f/1.8
Sigma 17-70
Then I will have
Canon 50 f/1.8
Canon 85 f/1.8
Sigma 105 f/2.8 Macro
Canon 70-200 f/4L
Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-
Sigma 10-20
So basically my macro and my 10-200's are covered. Then its time to save for something longer... Bigma perhaps
Man my wife didn't know what she was getting into when she bought me the 350D

That's a nice list. Bigma would certainly round it out.

the 85 would be nice, but id mabye look at the 24/28-70/75 options instead of the 17-70, constant 2.8 and better sharpness would be better for you and match up better with your 10-20 and 70-200 i think, unless the 17-70 is just a walk around and you are getting a midrange later? and i agree that the bigma would round it out if u have the cash and use for it haha.

goodness. stop buying lenses. take some photos. you'll know what you need when your lenses don't let u take the pics u want to take.
with 10-20, 50, 85, why do you need a 17-70?
i'd sleep on it for a few months.

Oh it will be a while down the road. I am horrible as far as planning goes. I like to have goals and that gives me a reason to work, gives me a reason to save etc. As far as pictures go, I'm heading on a 10 day vacation with the wife and 3 kids so I am hoping to take a TON of pics.
I know I want a mid range, I am considering the 17-70 and the tamaron 24-75 . When the time comes I will of done so much research on these 2 that I will have my definate answer.

you could always get teh sigmonster aka 300-800mm f5.6
that "little" beast of a lens will cover a bit more area for you, though you would be missing the 200-300 range (i find that range the most useless, dunno why, but i'm always needing 70-200, or 400 or more for the shots i want..). imagine, from 10-800mm.. impressive 80x zoom range (or getting a landscape and then a subsection only 1/6400th of the whole picture)

In the short time I've been here, I've come to the conclusion that as long as you're a member of this forum you'll never be "done". There are so many great photographers producing so many great images with so much great equipment that we will always be tempted to add more. In order to be "done", we would all have to sign a global, mutual, photographic non-proliferation treaty. That is not going to happen! Even though I have committed to trying to do photography "on the cheap" (I try to do everything on the cheap), I continue to covet more, more, more! Maybe not Long L Lenses, but still more, more, more!

That's a great little collection you've built up, and yes, the next step is a long tele. I like zooms, and the bigma has a great following but when I head out into this territory I think I'm going to be opting for the 100-400 - mainly for the IS and the ell of it...;)

I think I will sell an organ for the money to get my long tele...
Actully to be 100% honest I dont think I will be buying anothing more then a 1k price tag unless I start getting paid for my shots. Not because I dont want to but because my wife most likely wont let me..:p
The choice of my love life and a nice long lens, although might be tough I think I would eventully choose my wife. Guess I will worry about that when the time comes.;)

The Canon 85 f/1.8 is a WONDERFUL lens. It's my only lens other than the kit so far, and I'm glad I got it. Great, GREAT lens!!!
