Shaner,
You have a collection of beautiful pics. My favorite is the heron (img0302a). Thanks for sharing.

Shane, great gallery! I like the scenery shoots, especially the moody trees. What part of the world is that?

Shane, your pictures are superb and among the best I have senn taken on a G3. So many posted shots are not much more than snapshots but yours are quality pictures and you have a great eye for what works. Some of the nature pictures including the tree shots are inspiring. You may be new to the G3 but your are obviously not new to taking a great shot.
For anyone else reading this I recommend viewing them!
Thanks for posting the pics and be sure to update this forum when more are available.
Warms greeting from London!

Superb photos!
Shaner, how do you create those wonderful frames? Do you use a special program?

Thanks Paul,
Its comments like these that make me want to get out and take more pics....I love showing them off.
Some of the pics that I think aren't that great other ppl love.
I guess what my girlfriend says ...... "I'm my biggest critique" and she's my biggest fan.... is true - A lot of ppl like my pics but I tend to sit there and nit-pick them apart... I gotta stop doing that..lol
Up until April, when I bought my first G3, which was later stolen and replaced with another G3, I had never owned a good camera. Just the cheap throw-aways and point & shoots. Its great finally having a good camera and I'm having a blast taking pics.
Thanks for the comments,

Thanks Doas,
I wrote an action that I use in Photoshop to make the frames. Its real easy to use and does a nice job.
I've got about 6 emails already today asking about them so if you or anyone else would like a copy just send me an email and I'll send it to you later tonight when I get off work.

Shane, I am amazed that all you have used before a G3 is point and shot and disposable cameras! You put many supposed experienced digital photographers to shame and I am sure many on this forum will agree with me, if they were honest. If this is what you produce in the relative early days of your time with a decent camera, I really do look forward to seeing your obvious talent develop.

Hi Shaner, You're photography is very good by any standards. One of my favorites is; Twins by Cari, where you've colorized her eyes on a B&W photo. You must be pretty good in photoshop. The photo of the Bird skimming along just above the water is also on my list of Goodies. Great work, and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you.

Thanks R2D2... All of these where shot here in Utah, most of them only a mile or so from my house.
This time of year a lot of the canyons around here are dry with only a few of them with running water but during the spring when the snow melts there are waterfalls all over the place.
I'm looking forward to getting some nice shots of them with the G3 then since this is my first year having it.
Thanks for the comment,
Shaner

It must be great to live in that area, such easy access to great pics. Here, in the Bay Area (ca) one pretty much has to drive to beautiful areas.
Keep them coming!!
