wide tel 15-40 range

looking for a wide tel 15 - 35 or close to that range. looking at sigma tamron or canon non L also want to keep it around $400 - $500 range its for a 30 D whtch one would be the best

Look at the Sigma 15-30 f3.5-4.5, its a sharp lens and you can get one new in your price range. The only draw back to the sigma is the protruding lens prevents use of filters at 15mm. You really don't have much choice in that range. You may also look at the 12-24 sigma or Tokina.

Ok thanks is the sigma better than the tamron or are they about the same
