Since we have been posting/commenting on waterfall pictures quite a bit lately, I thought I might post one I hiked to a month or so back. It is in Southern Illinois. It was overcast and I did use a ND8 filter on my Canon S2IS.
Would love to know what you all think.
Thanks,
- Edd S.

Great shot. What settings did you use and what was the light like?

I think that is really neat looking. A ghostly quality. Personally, I would rather not be able to see through the water. Therefore, I would set a faster shutter speed. Do you have to do it so long because of the strength of the filter?

Thanks Edd.
I loved Tecumseh and the flowers added to the shot for me. I just like to see some color and they were just enough.

That is a very good example of that effect, but I think I would rather see it as it really was, or more like it was. :)

i faster shutter speed would have froze the water and you would have been able to see behind it better then with a slower one.

Nicely done, the water looks like silk.
