OK, now I have to get an iPod...I almost bought an image tank, but now Belkin has made an adapter for the iPod that will sync to iPhoto.
i wonder if it can read raw files?
Happy Thursday!

Not exactly a replacement for the image tank, since it also requires at least an iBook to run iPhoto.

It does require a third generation iPod (the ones with the dock). So now I have to spring for a new iPod plus the $99 Belkin reader. The darn reader is bigger than the iPod by about 20-30%.

-Files are stored in a DCIM (Digital Cameras Image) folder on the IPOD so you are able to use whichever program you normally use to recognize & transfer files between your device & computer be it MAC or Windows.
-You cannot view the images on the IPOD; only store & transfer.
*A very minimial User Manual PDF is available for download from Belkin's site.
I wanted one of these things when all it was good for was tunes... Now w/all the add-ons, and this - the image storage... hmmm, looks like a good thing.

I emailed someone at Apple who tests new features on the iPod (I work there too but not on iPods), and he said he specifically tested downloading Canon RAW files from the Belkin adapter to the iPod.
