First attempt using a 30D and 70-300 Canon Ultrasonic IS lens. Please keep in mind that this first time panning and first time using a serious camera. I'm in the stands shooting these btw. Cleveland GP.

Hi,
Some nice images there, especially for your first real effort and given your location. You will find your panning skills will get better and better with practice.
One comment though. Did you think about cropping the images post processing? You could cut the hands out of one and go in tighter on the others. This will make for a much more dramatic shot. Given you camera (30D), you should have some latitude to crop quite alot without losing resolution.
Give it a go.
Thanks,
Michael H

Great start with the new toys. A few are well shot and a little cropping will greatly improve them.
You need to resize and replace the images. Also pick the best eight to repost. Please review Guidelines on posting images ** UPDATED ** June 09, 06,,http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=51022 before reposting.

Sorry about that! Did not realize. I took it down to 8 shots, and will get them resized shortly.
