I am no longer getting email notifications for some of the threads that I subscribe to. I initially thought that there wasn't any activity...only to find out I am 5 pages behind the goss. I checked my user CP and everything is as I left it. I didn't change a thing...

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Is there something that I can do, e.g., unsubscribe then re-subscribe to the thread(s)? Going to the "search" function is fine for the short term but it is getting to be tedious...

Any help from the mods would be appreciated.

Thank you!!!

I have had this happen a couple of times recently. I just happened to go back to a thread that I had subscribed to and realized that I hadn't gotten any notification of new posts. I just thought my email had somehow weeded them out (it does that sometimes).

i dunno, I just use check the subscribed threads page. makes it pretty easy, just quick links, subscribed threads, and the new posts are in bold

How does one subscribe to a thread? I find that some threads I post to are automatically on my subscribed list and others aren't. Is there a button?

When you view a thread there is a "Thread Tools" dropdown menu where you have "Subscribe to this thread" command. You can view and manage all subscribed threads in http://photography-on-the.net/forum/subscription.php?do=viewsubscription

OK, thanks. Why am I automatically subscribed sometimes and not others? Anyway, I'll start using the drop down menu option.

With the GKPE thread, I only get notifications if I've been on the site, and then someone posts. If I leave it for a few days, they will eventually stop. So they don't go all the time

That happens when You reply to a thread. This means you have defaulted to subscribe to threads you partitipate in. The default behavoir is set in USERCP but can be overridden on each post. Under the the post box (advanced) there is a dropdown box where you can select subscription.

I believe you only get one notification per thread when there is new posts and you haven't read it. Once read the notification status is reset and you will get new notification.

I am no longer getting email notifications for some of the threads that I subscribe to. This happend to me me just a couple of days ago, threads I've started almost a year ago, without any activity but still subscribed. Now I got a new reply but I didn't get an email notification, like with the newer posts. This was 'fixed' when I re-subsribed.
