Firstly, I know it's not really important but what is it? Is it a pond with a few balloons in?

It could very well have some merit as an abstract piece. There's some interesting colour and clean geometric shapes. I don't know if it does much for me (possibly due to the apparently clipped colours in the balloons) but I'm sure it would appeal to some though.

It's a fountain and pond after a nearby party. I'm not sure what you mean by 'clipped' colour in the balloons - but yes I though they looked odd and I think it's to do with the compression as it doesn't look like that on screen in the original.

It is meant to be abstract - I've only had a camera for a week so am just starting out and messing around, but light and colour are my main interest.

I don't know if the colors are clipped or not. It could very well be the matte finish that old latex balloons aquire. I'd have liked either a square crop or landscape crop that encompases the entire body of green water. Still a good color shot.
