Not sure if Sub-Urban goes here, but . . .
I liked the contrast of the discarded sofa against the backdrop of million $$ homes overlooking the dump site.

Yes, those rich folks are real slobs when they come to dumping stuff!

Yeah, they sneak down the hill under cover of darkness, with their cast-off (last year's style) furniture tied to the roof of their AMG ML55 SUV's or Hummer H2's with satin drapery cord . . .

Nice shot. Very nice, actually. Nothing nice comes without a price.
My father is in So. Calif. He lives in one of those ritzy planned communities in the Palm Springs area. Right on the golf course. Well.... He has a large metal cabinet he wants to take to the official dump. The problem is, he does not have a truck. By the time he's calculated the cost of renting a truck, with mileage and gas, plus dump fees, he's looking at $80-$100.
My solution: Paint the cabinet black. ($8 spray paint) Haul it out to the middle of the golf course late at night. Surround it with a half dozen stuffed gorillas ($50). Have all the gorillas looking up at the "monolith" a-la-2001 Space Odessy. I'm not sure if the grounds crew would appreciate the artistic element.
