As a verteran, former firefighter and EMT, I would like to wish a happy 4th to all Americans and especially like to thank those who have served their country and fellow Americans in our armed and uniformed services. I also would ask that each and everyone who reads this message please take a moment and thank a serviceman/woman, a veteran and/or the family and friends of those fighting for our freedoms around the world.

This was a quick snapshot I took during a church picnic this morning. One of our members has a collection of historical U.S. flags. Don't just count the stars....count the stripes.
