EDIT: I didn't realize the size restrictions and have removed some images - I'll put the links to the ones I removed instead of the pic. My bad!

These are from the second wedding of the day...

1. and 2.
Both of these shots show the bride's niece looking on as she watches her aunt get ready.

3. I liked the father of the bride's face here - his adoring gaze as he gets his corsage pinned on

4. and 5. The bride just before going out the door

7. The groom's first glimpse of the bride

8. 9. 10. I wish I hadn't cut the dad's head off inthe first pic! Here's the bride coming down the "aisle"

11. The bride had the giggles during the ceremony

12. This is unstaged - they announced them man & wife, they walked part way up this path and stopped to kiss and I caught this moment

13. It was super hot and the bride was trying to fan the dress to cool down

14. I love receiving line shots - usually great emotion!!

15. I saw a shot like this on Joe Buissink's web site - tried it out

16. My personal fave

I love #16 - that's a portfolio shot (though I'd play with the burn tool a bit to see if I could make it even more moody).

Great shots !!

Did you use flash for the inside shots?
Any fill flash outside?

Thanks everyone!

rightaway - for these shots I posted, no flash was used indoors. They have a very bright home with loads of windows so I just used ISO 800 and shot wide open. I hate flashes and still haven't got them totally figured out.

No fill flash outside was used either for the same reason - I suck at using the flash.

jamiewexler - I love #16 - but feel something is needed still. What would you suggest with the burn tool? I actually tried to lighten the trees and darken the groom's suit/lighten the bride's dress because before they were getting lost in the trees. Maybe I'll play around with burning the edges or something. I'll take any suggestions!

Thanks for the feedback!

Okay I edited the amount of pics I posted - guess I was excited coming off of a busy weekend and went a little crazy posting pics!

Krista...
As usual great stuff! Are you getting a lot of bookings now?? You should be!

Jasen - thanks. A lot of bookings? Umm... I don't know what's considered a lot but enough for my first summer to keep me busy! About 10 this summer. I said I'd use this summer as my trial to see if I like weddings or not - and I love them! I'm so sentimental and I LOVE weddings in general - so to be able to go and see all these weddings I wouldn't have experienced otherwise is a gift. It's all been word of mouth so far - friends of friends, a couple from our church, old co-workers kids, etc. Once I get past the summer rush I'll think about advertising for next year. Maybe.

Gah...10 in a summer. I'm lazy..I wouldn't do that many! I like weddings..only when I'm a guest, though. Just a little bit of advertising goes a long way. You'll be booked solid before you know it. Get your work out there, and show it off. A couple of shots, and any sane person would be sold on booking you. Great stuff, girl.

Awww... thanks Ronald. It's your camera that's providing the shots. Much thanks again!

Krista,

I see you are real busy - are you working alone? What is your turn around time for proofs, and then prints?

What is your typical wedding package photo size?

I am trying to figure what is a good turn around time for photos. OR what is a decent/accaptable time. Is 4 weeks too long?

for me 4 weeks is a very long time, i try to do all in 2 weeks. The shorter the time the more pics you sell.
