The family got up the Larch Mountain, Oregon today. Beautiful day but wrong time - 4:00PM. I did manage to get this shot from below the observation point. Mt. Hood, 22 miles from where I was standing.
Comments and suggestions always appreciated.

Man that is awesome. How do you get the sky to come out so crisp? Please tell me.

There's a fair few trees there isn't there! I like the cloud over the mountain (the hood?) being pushed up by the wind. Lovely image.

Thanks Rendezvous. Yup, there are a few trees in Oregon. This is actually north Oregon about 5 miles from the Washington state line. It's pretty country.

Peachman - thanks for the comments. The kit lens was used here. My Tamron will (hopefully) be back from the shop today... Another fine example of the maligned kit lens and what it is capable of...I don't see how any lens could have given you any better results...
