I just bought an s400 digital elph, and i started taking some shots of my ultimate frisbee team. Every shot is coming out blurry.

I have tried all the ISO: 50, 100, 200, 400 and have autofocused each shot.

Is there anything else i can do to reduce this?

have you used a tripod? looking at the 2nd picture i don't think so! looks to me like it's blurred because of the slow shutter and moving the camera.

yea i know the second one is blurred because i moved, but you can see from the others that its the athlete that is mostly blurred. i dont think using a tripod can fix that

If you're shooting at night you will need to use a tripod. The reason they came out blurred is because of the longer shutter speed your camera used to compensate for the dark setting.

If you're shooting people within one or two metres then you can use the flash, but the background will be dark as night.

I got a good second hand tripod for very cheap, and its been great for night shots. I suggest you invest in one if you want to take night pics.

but do you really think this will eliminate all blur? for example, the first image, the disc it totally blurred. The rest of the image is clean.

is there a way to stop the camera from keeping the shutter open for shorter exposure. there is a lot of light on the fields.

Your first picture has sufficient lighting, but the rest do not. Automatic cameras are not really good at action scenes unless it has sufficient lighting, and it always has shutter lag unless you press the shutter button down half way to be ready first.
