Hi,
I use the Canon Off-Camera Shoe Cord 2 to hook up an older Canon flash to my G3. The problem is that this cable is the coil/spiral type and only extends about three feet.
I would like to splice into the wire and extend the reach of the cord by adding a third party cable. My guess is there are about three to five lines inside the cable that need to be matched. Has anyone tried this and could you recommend a procedure and a particular brand or type of cable?
Any help would be appreciated.
Mike
