Outdoor setup advise

Hey,


Shooting my first wedding, its going to be outdoors at the brides mothers home. Looks like alot of sun is expected according to the weather report. Out of the choices available in my signature, I was thinking of using the following: 20D with 70-200 as primary, DRebel with the 50 1.8 as secondary. I'll reach into the bag for the 105 and 10-20 for specialty shots. Also, is the flash recommended as fill? Recommendations please. My hands are starting to tremble :oops: .

shoot in the shade as much as possible. If you can't, have someone (if you have an assistant) hold a diffuser above the subjects. Also use fill flash in sunlight to get rid of shadows on their face.

With backyard weddings things are often crowded and less than ideal, you might need to use a wide lens. Fill flash is a must.

Don't use the bright sky as any part of the background!

If you're going to be shooting in broad daylight, do some practice shots before the big day with your flash so you're familiar with how to manage your flash exposure compensation. Or keep a very close eye on your histogram. If the contrast is really high you'll need to wind your exposure compensation right up to have any chance of filling in the shadows... Sorry if you already know this but I wish I'd known it at the beginning ;-)
